These Terms are an agreement between you and Bred Applications (section 18). By creating an account or using RACERZ, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 16 years old to use RACERZ. One account per person.
RACERZ is a competitive running app: GPS run tracking, ranked races against simulated opponents driven by other runners' fitness profiles, an ELO rating system, clubs and club wars, a social feed, and seasonal progression. RACERZ is free to use, with optional premium subscriptions.
Certain features download additional content to your device — for example audio content for offline playback. Downloads may consume mobile data — we recommend Wi-Fi.
RACERZ uses passwordless authentication only (Apple, Google, or email magic link) — we never collect or store passwords. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us at contact@bredapplications.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
YOUR USE OF RACERZ AND ANY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY UNDERTAKEN IN CONNECTION WITH IT — INCLUDING RUNNING ON ROADS, TRAILS AND IN TRAFFIC — IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS INHERENT IN PHYSICAL EXERCISE, INCLUDING INJURY, DISABILITY AND DEATH.
RACERZ does not inspect, supervise, prepare, or conduct any race, challenge, club war, or other competitive activity organised through the Service, and assumes no responsibility for them.
Audio content warning: RACERZ uses immersive audio effects during gameplay, including realistic sounds such as helicopters and explosions. If intense sound effects may affect you, adjust your device volume before use.
The following are prohibited: GPS spoofing and mock locations, speed or data manipulation, account sharing or manipulation, exploiting bugs for competitive advantage (report them to us instead), and collusion.
Runs and race results are validated server-side by automated, rule-based plausibility checks (speed, GPS accuracy, and physiological consistency). What an automated check does is invalidate the individual result — the race does not count and no rating changes for either side. It does not suspend or terminate an account. We may suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated violations, but that is always a decision taken by a person.
Every suspension or result invalidation includes a statement of reasons. You may appeal to contact@bredapplications.com within 14 days. Appeals receive genuine human review by a person with authority to overturn the decision, and are answered within one month.
You retain ownership of the content you share (posts, comments, chat messages, reward labels, your username). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not ask EU users to waive moral rights.
Your username and race performance data are visible to opponents, club members, and leaderboards — this visibility is an inherent part of a competitive service.
Content must not be illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, infringing, or contain monetary amounts in reward labels. We moderate using the automated anti-cheat rules described in section 5 and manual review. Report illegal or violating content to contact@bredapplications.com (or in-app, where available) — include a link or username and the reason. If we remove content, restrict visibility, or suspend an account, the affected user receives a statement of reasons and can contest the decision through the same channel.
A friendly challenge to another runner may include an optional Reward — a small social gesture (e.g., "A coffee", "Movie ticket") one friend playfully attaches to a race. Rewards are entirely optional and just for fun. They have no real-world monetary value to the Service, are not contracts or enforceable obligations, and RACERZ is not a party to them.
When you receive a challenge with a Reward you may Accept with reward, Race without reward, or Decline the challenge entirely. Whether the Reward appears on your shared run post is controlled by a per-post toggle. Monetary amounts in any currency are automatically blocked. Rewards must not contain illegal, sexual, harassing, or otherwise prohibited content (see Section 6). Disputes about delivery are entirely between the participants — RACERZ does not facilitate, mediate, or enforce them. The feature is not gambling: outcomes are determined by skill, and no funds or items of monetary value flow through the Service in connection with a Reward.
Named athletes, their images, records, and voice personas appear in RACERZ with their permission.
Coins and season rewards are earned through play. They cannot be purchased, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not transferable. RACERZ contains no chance-based (loot box) mechanics.
Premium features are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which act as merchant of record. Price, billing period, and subscription term are shown on the paywall before you purchase. Cancel any time in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds — including the 14-day EU/EEA withdrawal right — are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Your ranked opponents are computer-simulated performances — not a live opponent running beside you, and not a recording of one. Some are simulated from the fitness profiles of other RACERZ runners; others are generated by us so that every rating has someone to race. Either way the race you run against is computed, and the result is informational and for entertainment only.
The Service — software, design, graphics, audio, and game mechanics — is owned by Bred Applications and protected by intellectual property law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence for personal use.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) EUR 100 AND (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY, OR FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY INTENT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, AND APPLIES ONLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAW OF YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE.
You will indemnify Bred Applications against third-party claims arising from your athletic activities, your content, or your breach of these Terms — except to the extent a claim is caused by our own negligence.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings or via the account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, with a statement of reasons and the appeal path described in sections 5 and 6.
These Terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before formal proceedings, contact us at contact@bredapplications.com — we will attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days.
We give 30 days notice of material changes via in-app notification, and the app will ask you to accept the updated Terms. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
